Baby Boy Phillips Has Arrived!
Dear Friends and Readers:
I’m thrilled to announce the arrival of my first child!
Baby Boy Phillips was born on Tuesday evening, measuring 6 lbs., 6 oz. Mom and baby are doing well and resting comfortably.
I’m going to take the next couple of weeks off to get better acquainted with our little guy, learn how to change diapers, and try to sneak in an hour or two of sleep along the way.
In my absence, I’ve arranged for some terrific guest posts written by some of my favorite bloggers. Over the next two weeks (starting this Friday), you’ll find guest posts from:
Melissa Agnes, a crisis communications pro who runs the consultancy MelissaAgnes.com.
Chris Syme, a crisis communications expert who runs CKSyme.org.
David Nagle and Amanda Jones of the public relations firm Vox Optima.
In addition, you’ll find a new original post from my firm’s Washington, D.C. Vice President, Christina Mozaffari. I’ll also post a couple of excerpts from my book, The Media Training Bible.
I look forward to seeing you back on the blog “live” in early April. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the content we’ve prepared for you while I’m gone!
Sincerely,
Brad Phillips
Congratulations to both you and your wife, Brad!! Seeing this post in my reader this morning has totally made my morning!! I’m thrilled for you!! Enjoy the next few weeks getting to know your beautiful son.
Best wishes from Montreal,
Melissa
That’s fantastic, Brad, congratulations! I very much enjoy your blog and link to it often on the Facebook page I keep for my Advanced Media Training class for military officers at Fort Leavenworth — but you deserve a break to spend time with your wife and the little guy. We’ll look forward to reading the posts of your excellent subs while you’re off.
Enjoyg!
Steve
Congrats, Brad! Having children is life-changing. (My triplets turn 19 next week.) Glad to hear you’re not taking the “crisis” root to building a family.
Wonderful news! Congrats Brad and Jessica!
More greetings from Montreal!
Congratulations, Brad! I am so glad that you can now know the undending pleasures of child-rearing. Some days will feel as though they are six months long, but the months will fly by and the kid will be grown before you know it. Savour and enjoy this time, because it only comes once — no matter how little sleep you’re getting. Best of luck and all the best going forward.
Congratulations! Take advantage of sleep when you can!
Congratulations, Brad! Parenthood is amazing. Best advice I got when I was a new parent: go at the child’s pace, pay attention to the things they pay attention to. My best to you all.
Dear Philip,
Congratulations to both you and your wife!
Best wishes from Lisbon,
João
He’s beautiful–just like mom, I’m sure…
