Often read your blog on phone, could use a mobile site! And also changing my vote on how often I read your blog…usually more than 1x per week (not 2-3x per month) b/c click-thru on FB. Great work Brad!
Lexie,
Thank you very much for your comment! I’ve been looking into options for mobile phones (you’re right that it’s an area in need of improvement). I’m trying to decide between “responsive design” (which automatically reduces the columns and text to fit a phone window), a true mobile site, and a standalone app. Please let me know if you have any feedback on which you’d prefer.
Thanks again,
Brad
great tips for teachers and other “public” speakers
Thanks, Jackie, for reading and supporting my efforts here!
I have been following you since Chuck Todd retweeted one of your posts. I also am a media trainer, and I tell all my clients to follow you — great refreshers and information. You are getting a lot of credit on the west coast… Love it!
Hi Brad,
My two cents: I’d go for the app:) Since apps are installed on a mobile device, they can be accessed without a browser or an Internet connection, which can be an advantage if someone reads to read your content on the go. Happy birthday!
Enjoy the blog, Brad. BTW, I love 80s music, too. We are from the same Generation X. I have an unusual ability to hear an 80s song and name the year it first aired. Talk about useless knowledge!
Michael,
Funny, me too!
Okay, here’s a test for you: name the mid-80s hit by the group Slade. No Googling! 🙂
Thanks for reading and weighing in.
Brad
You got me on that one. Like I said, I can tell you the year a particular song came out upon hearing it, not necessarily the name of the song or the singer/group. For some odd reason, I just can usually pick the year. Go figure. 🙂
Sorry, that was a tough one. I only remember it because I owned the 45. (Yes, younger readers, the 45.) They had a small hit called “Run, Run Away.” Terrible Scottish pop. I love it. 🙂
I particularly like how brief, to the point, and sometimes, whimiscal your blogs are. Makes for a quick, very informative, and enjoyable read.
Carlos,
Thank you very much for that nice compliment. I particularly appreciate the term “whimsical.” I know a lot of the content on the blog is heavy at times, so I’m glad you recognize that I’m at least trying to make it lighter once in a while!
Thank you for reading the blog.
Brad
I discovered your blog via twitter a month or so ago.
My PR work for an urban public school system in a large media market has me questioning my tactics from time to time, and Mr. Media Training has become an excellent resource as I check the posts to find out either A) Hey! I know what I’m doing! or B) Yup, I gotta work on that response … Thank you!
Heidi,
Thank you for your kind note, and welcome to the blog! Please feel free to jump in and add your own thoughts and experiences to the comments section.
Truly, I’m always delighted to see who’s out there reading. Thanks for saying hello.
Brad
